The Call to Serve

When we first met we spoke often of how we both felt called to go and serve somewhere in Africa. We often thought it would be Kenya. We even had a few opportunities come up where we asked questions and looked into if that was what God had for us. We also felt like there would be some connection to AIDS or HIV and children. Over the years those opportunities never worked out and we had began to wonder if it was God’s will or if it was just a desire of ours.
We have followed the story of Sixty Feet for several years now. When we saw their post for a social media coordinator. We felt God telling us that we should at least start getting more info. We reached out to see what all this would mean and we asked those around us to start praying. After lots of prayer, asking every question we could think of, and consulting with family and friends we felt that this is what God was calling us to. Shortly after that Sixty Feet made an official offer and we began the process of joining the team.
