Driving in Uganda

4:38 AM

The second day we were here, Curtis test drove a car.
We rode with a few people during the week and test drove a few other cars.
Driving here seemed so crazy we debated buying a car at all.

Here is one of the first times we were in major traffic.

A week later we bought our car. We ended up buying the biggest car we could find.
A lot of times in traffic the biggest car has the “right of way” it’s really more like “I’m going and you have to wait.”

There are very few stop sign, traffic lights, or marked roads and Bodas (motorcycle taxis) are everywhere, it kinda seems like there are not really rules of the road in general.

We have done well so far and managed to get everywhere we needed to.
Ggaba road is one of the major roads near us
so we drive on it a lot for the main stores near our house.

Ethan already knows how to say Ggaba Road and Kilometers because of Google maps.
